AndrewShire Art Services is proud to be the organiser for Mexico – Country of Colors, a photography exhibition presented by The Embassy of Mexico Singapore in celebration of the Bicentennial of Mexico's National Independence.

This exhibition is dedicated to the tones, the shades, the semidarkness and the lights of a land that stun the visitors’ eyes. These photographs allow the spectator to feel the intensity and the power of the places, natural sceneries, monuments, architecture, art, festivals and popular traditions of Mexico.
The artists – painters, photographers and fashion designers – have utilized this opportunity as a means to transmit their images, ideas, concepts, shapes and figures of Mexico to us. These pigments of their expression enrich the way we see things and perceive the world.
Photographers search and explore, invent and reinvent, engaging us with the fascination that appears instantly in front of our eyes. Photography is not like painting, photographs capture moments that we can only “see” with our imagination, photography is truly the language of colors.
The photography of Ricardo Espinosa (REO) gives us an insight to Mexico that matches the imagery conjured up by most poets. It is a visual testament to the words that have been written by Mexicans about Mexico, from pre-hispanic time to the present: Nezahualcoyotl, Bernardo de Balbuena, Ramón López Velarde, Carlos Pellicer and Octavio Paz.
Discover the richness of Mexico – a submergence between the light and the color, the images and the words of a marvelous country.
